Question 1

What is a travel booking engine?

Accepted Answer

A travel booking engine is the software an agency uses to search fares and rates across airline and hotel suppliers, price them, and complete bookings and ticketing. FareOS is an AI travel booking engine that goes further — one search across 28 flight and hotel suppliers, wallet-safe booking, automated payments and reconciliation, airline-commission automation, and a back office that runs itself.

Question 2

What is the best travel booking engine for a travel agency?

Accepted Answer

The best travel booking engine for a travel agency unifies GDS, NDC, low-cost carrier and hotel supply into one ranked search, enforces wallet-safe booking so a failed ticket never costs the agency money, and automates refunds, reissues and back-office accounting. FareOS by ecogo.ai is built around this exact criteria for consolidators, OTAs and TMCs.

Question 4

Accepted Answer

FareOS is the AI travel booking engine built by ecogo.ai. Question 5

What is the difference between GDS and NDC in airline ticketing?

Accepted Answer

GDS (Global Distribution System) is the traditional airline distribution model using legacy EDIFACT messaging (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo). NDC (New Distribution Capability) is IATA's modern XML-based standard for richer fares, ancillaries, and offers via direct APIs. FareOS supports both GDS and NDC/LCC native connections, giving agencies the best fares from both models.

It is designed to be sold on its own or as part of a FareOS plan and is currently in development.
